Sexual Healing begins with an uncomfortable premise: what happens in the body does not stay in the body. Dr. Esaias Merritt traces the biblical language of bara and dabaq — creation and cleaving — to argue that intimacy is a portal, and that portals left open keep transmitting long after the relationship ends.

Part theology, part clinical diagnosis, part pastoral care, the book names what most congregations avoid: generational patterns, trauma bonds mistaken for love, and covenant made with people who never signed it.
